What this template is
The Supplier Profile template stores wholesale vendor master data—vendor name, masked tax registration ID, payment terms, and contact details—for accounts-payable reference without duplicating every invoice line item.
When to use it (and when not to)
Good fits
- Vendor master record before first PO
- Tax ID and Net-30 terms for AP onboarding
- One profile per supplier; invoices as separate items
Use something else instead
Everyday workflows
Onboard a new vendor
- Enable Supplier Profile under Enable category template packs → Retail & stores.
- Create one item per vendor; fill Vendor and Tax registration ID.
- Create Invoice / Receipt items per PO as expenses arrive.
AP handoff
- Share vendor name and payment terms via selective disclosure—tax ID stays hard-blocked by default.
- Use Vault tags to group vendors by category (packaging, freight, …).

Tips and common mistakes
- One profile per vendor—do not create a new profile for every invoice.
- Tax ID is sensitive—do not paste into Secure Note; use the masked field here.
- Not an ERP—NT² stores reference data only; it does not run AP workflows or 1099 filing.
- Portal logins in Credential—supplier website passwords stay out of this template.
