Vehicle Title template

What this template is

The Vehicle Title template stores certificate-of-title metadata—title number, registered owner, lien holder, and VIN. Enable it under Settings → Category templates → Automotive.

When to use it (and when not to)

Good fits

• Used-car purchase with title number and lien holder
• Paid-off title stored alongside registration

Use something else instead

Everyday workflows

• Enable Vehicle Title under Enable category template packs → Automotive.
• Title number is masked and hard-blocked from share by default.
• Link mentally to a Vehicle Registration item for the same VIN.

What you need

Steps

Enable the pack

1. Unlock your vault and open Settings → General → Category templates (https://se.nt2.me/settings/general/templates).
2. Under Automotive, toggle Vehicle Title On.

Create a title item

1. Open https://se.nt2.me/assets and select Add asset → Vehicle title.
2. Enter a title and fill VIN and title number from the certificate.
3. Add lien holder, registered owner, and purchase date as shown on the document.
4. Save.

Paid-off title update

1. Edit to clear lien holder when the finance company releases the lien.
2. Attach lien release PDF via Encrypted attachments if needed.

Pair with registration

1. Create or link mentally to a Vehicle Registration item for the same VIN.
2. Use Safe presentation mode to show registered owner—never title number on a shared screen unless masked.

Tips and common mistakes

• Title number is sensitive—masked and hard-blocked from share; do not paste into Secure Note.
• Driver's license is Document—not vehicle title; use Document.
• Same VIN on two items—registration and title are separate templates by design.
• Product boundary—NT² does not transfer ownership or file DMV title changes.
