Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 May 2026
These terms apply to NT² Vault software, the website at nt2.me, and related services operated by NT². By using the product, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
NT² Vault ("NT²", "we", "us") provides a structured digital asset vault: a local-first web application at se.nt2.me, optional Premium cloud features, and this marketing website at nt2.me. The vault encrypts your data on your device; we do not hold your master password.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use NT² Vault. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws.
3. Your vault & responsibilities
- Master password. You alone control your master password. We cannot reset, recover, or bypass it. Loss of the password without a valid backup may result in permanent data loss.
- Backups. You are responsible for maintaining secure copies of
.nt2vaultexports and safeguarding backup files. - Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you store and any consequences of sharing exported data or share links.
- Lawful use. You will not use NT² Vault to store, share, or facilitate illegal activity.
4. Free and Premium tiers
The local vault is available at no charge subject to these terms. Premium features (such as cross-device sync) require a paid subscription processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Pricing is listed on Pricing. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Lemon Squeezy; refund policies follow the merchant's terms and applicable law.
5. Cloud services
Optional cloud sync and related API services store and transmit ciphertext only. We authenticate vaults via Vault Key DID challenge–response; we do not use email as vault identity. Service availability is provided on a best-effort basis. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect cloud features.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access other users' vaults, servers, or infrastructure without authorization.
- Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities except through coordinated disclosure to us.
- Reverse engineer the service to extract keys or bypass encryption (except where law permits).
- Overload or disrupt our APIs, Workers, or storage systems.
- Misrepresent affiliation with NT² or impersonate our staff in support channels.
7. Intellectual property
NT² Vault software, branding, documentation, and this website are owned by NT² or its licensors. You retain all rights to your vault content. You grant us only the minimal technical permissions needed to store encrypted blobs and operate cloud features you enable.
8. Privacy
Our handling of personal and technical data is described in the Privacy policy. These terms and the privacy policy should be read together.
9. Disclaimers
NT² Vault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that encrypted data will remain accessible if you lose credentials or backups.
NT² is a personal data vault, not a bank, custodian, or regulated financial institution. We do not hold cryptocurrency or funds on your behalf.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NT² and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service—including loss of access due to forgotten passwords, device failure, or user error. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using NT² at any time by deleting local vault data and cancelling Premium subscriptions. We may suspend or terminate access to cloud services if you violate these terms or if required by law. Local vault data on your device remains under your control.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NT² is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
