Trash
Last updated: 28 Jun 2026
Settings → Trash—local only until sync replicates tombstones.
Who this is for
Anyone who deleted an asset by mistake—or who wants to purge deleted items permanently after reviewing them.
What you need
| Tier | Free |
| Vault state | Unlocked |
| Network | Offline for local trash; online if cloud sync must replicate deletions |
| Feature toggle | None |
Steps
Send an item to trash
- Unlock your vault and open
https://se.nt2.me/assets. - Select an item and choose Delete from the detail panel or row menu.
- Confirm deletion. The item leaves the active list and moves to Trash (soft delete).
Review trash
- Open Settings → Vault → Trash (
https://se.nt2.me/settings/vault/trash). - Browse deleted items—titles and deletion times help you find the right entry.
- Select an item to preview metadata before restoring or purging.
Restore an item
- In Trash, select the item and choose Restore.
- Return to Assets—the item reappears in the active list with its fields and attachments (if any still exist locally).
Permanently delete
- In Trash, select one or more items and choose Delete permanently (or Empty trash if offered).
- Confirm—the ciphertext and metadata are removed from this device’s vault storage.
- With cloud sync enabled, permanent deletion replicates as tombstones on other devices when sync runs.
Tips and common mistakes
- Trash ≠ Archive—archived items stay in the asset list under the Archived filter; trashed items leave the list until restored or purged.
- Attachments—restoring an item restores attachment metadata; purged items remove attachment blobs when deletion completes.
- Sync delay—another device may still show an item until sync propagates the tombstone; force sync from Settings if needed—see Cloud sync.
- No undelete after purge—permanent deletion is irreversible without a backup.
- Writer tab only—restore and purge require write access; follower tabs may show read-only trash views.
