Credential template

Last updated: 28 Jun 2026

Core builtin template—always enabled on new vaults.

Who this is for

Anyone storing website logins, app passwords, API keys, or other username/password pairs—the default template for most vault items.

What you need

TierFree
Vault stateUnlocked
NetworkOffline after the first successful app load
Feature toggleNone (core builtin—always on)

Steps

Create a credential

  1. Unlock your vault and open https://se.nt2.me/assets.
  2. Select Add asset and choose Credential (always available—no pack toggle needed).
  3. Enter a title (site or app name) and fill username, password, URL, and notes as needed.
  4. Optional: add tags—see Tags and filters.
  5. Save. The item encrypts locally and appears in the list and Credential category chip.

Copy secrets safely

  1. Open the credential from the list to view the detail panel.
  2. Tap Copy next to password, username, or other sensitive fields.
  3. Paste into the target app within 30 seconds—the clipboard auto-clears after that.

Edit or retire

  1. Select Edit to update fields or the title.
  2. Use Archive to hide infrequently used logins from the default list.
  3. Use Delete to move the item to Trash.
  1. Enable the TOTP / 2FA pack (Enable category template packs—Premium).
  2. Create a linked TOTP item or attach codes per your app version—see TOTP template.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Always enabled—unlike Crypto or Bank packs, Credential is a core builtin on every vault.
  • URL field—helps you launch the site; it is not a substitute for storing the password in the password field.
  • Clipboard timer—30-second clear reduces leak risk; paste promptly and avoid screen sharing during copy.
  • Wrong template?—unstructured text belongs in Secure Note; seed phrases belong in Crypto Wallet.
