Send hub

Last updated: 28 Jun 2026

App bar Send—share passphrase is never your master password.

Who this is for

Senders who need a fast Text or File handoff from the app bar, or who want bookmarkable Send URLs alongside asset-level Share sheets.

What you need

TierFree
Vault stateUnlocked
NetworkOffline OK for .nt2share creation; inline/hosted links need network when offered
Feature toggleSend hub enabled (default); local multi-vault send needs another vault on device

Hub routes

TabURLUse when
Text (default)https://se.nt2.me/sendTyping or pasting a message → encrypted link or QR
Filehttps://se.nt2.me/send/fileWrapping any file as encrypted .nt2share

For structured assets (Credential, Bank, Document, …), use Share on the asset row or detail view—see Sharing overview.

Steps

Text tab (default)

  1. Open Send from the app bar.
  2. Optional title; enter message body.
  3. Enable Protect with passphrase (recommended)—generate or type a share passphrase distinct from your master password.
  4. Choose delivery:
    • Public link or file — generates link/QR for the recipient's Receive hub.
    • Send to vault on this device — delivers to another local vault's Inbox (multi-vault setups).
  5. Copy link and passphrase in separate channels (chat + phone, email + in person, etc.).

File tab

  1. Go to https://se.nt2.me/send/file.
  2. Optional display title; Choose file from disk.
  3. Set share passphrase (or acknowledge no-passphrase risk for low-sensitivity payloads).
  4. Create file → download .nt2share or use system share sheet.
  5. Recipient imports via Receive → File and enters the passphrase you sent separately.

Vault-to-vault from Send

When Send to vault on this device is selected, pick the target vault from the device index. The payload lands in that vault's Inbox—unlock that vault to accept.

Larger structured shares

For contacts, attachments, hosted relay, or field-level selection, open the asset and use Share instead:

ModeFrom asset Share sheet

Encrypted linkEncrypted links

In-person displaySafe presentation

Tips and common mistakes

  • Share passphrase ≠ master password—treat it as a one-time code with expiry.
  • Oversized text may force the File tab—follow in-app hints.
  • Hosted links with attachments require cloud sync registration (Settings → Vault & sync).
  • Track outbound link and v2v shares in optional Sharing outbox.
  • Recipients open links at https://se.nt2.me/?m=…—see Sent to me.
