The Vehicle Registration template stores registration metadata—VIN, license plate, state or region, and renewal expiry. Enable it under Settings → Category templates → Automotive.

Everyday workflows
- Enable Vehicle Registration under Enable category template packs → Automotive.
- Enter a valid 17-character VIN—NT² validates the check digit on save.
- Set Registration expiry for renewal reminders; share plate and make/model without exposing VIN.

Steps
Enable the pack
- Unlock your vault and open Settings → General → Category templates (
https://se.nt2.me/settings/general/templates). - Under Automotive, toggle Vehicle Registration On.
Create a registration item
- Open
https://se.nt2.me/assetsand select Add asset → Vehicle registration. - Enter a title and fill VIN, license plate, and registration expiry.
- Add make & model, state / region, and registration number from the card.
- Save. NT² validates the VIN check digit on save—confirm if your jurisdiction uses a non-standard format.
Renewal reminder
- Confirm Registration expiry is set.
- Enable expiry reminders in Settings when available.
- Edit plate or address fields after renewal.
Share plate info safely
- Use selective disclosure or Safe presentation mode to show plate and make/model.
- VIN stays hard-blocked in share flows by default.
Tips and common mistakes
- VIN check digit—invalid VIN warns on save; double-check transcription from the registration card.
- Title vs registration—certificate of title number belongs in Vehicle Title.
- Insurance policy number—use Insurance, not this template.
- Product boundary—NT² does not renew registration or pay DMV fees.
