Vault Inbox

Last updated: 28 Jun 2026

Deferred-action queue—like email triage for encrypted handoffs.

Who this is for

Anyone receiving vault-to-vault shares, ?m= deep links, contact updates, or relayed envelopes who wants to review before items land in Assets.

What you need

TierFree
Vault stateUnlocked to accept or decline; locked vault can stash ?m= for later
NetworkOffline OK for already-imported messages; Refresh inbox polls cloud relay when online
Feature toggleInbox enabled (default)

Steps

Open Inbox

Go to https://se.nt2.me/inbox. Pending messages show sender DID hints, previews, and received time—nothing merges into Assets until you accept.

Import a new message

Messages arrive through several doors:

SourceHow it lands
?m= link or QROpen while unlocked, or stash while locked then route after unlock—see Receive
Receive → Link tabPaste https://se.nt2.me/?m=… at https://se.nt2.me/receive/link
Share fileImport .nt2share via Receive → File
Cloud relayTap Refresh inbox when online
Local vault sendAnother vault on this device delivers to your Inbox—unlock that vault to review

Accept an asset share

  1. Open the pending row.
  2. Enter share passphrase if the sender used one (never your master password).
  3. Tap Accept—NT² decrypts locally and creates a new asset (or merges attachments when bulk transfer completes).
  4. Declined or expired messages move to History without changing Assets.

Filters and history

  • Pending — needs your decision.
  • History — accepted, declined, expired, or failed; clearing history does not delete imported assets.
  • Filter by message type (asset share, sign request, program issuance) when enabled.

After accept

  • Sender may auto-mark as verified if they were previously unverified.
  • Track outbound shares in Sharing outbox when that optional feature is on.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Inbox is not the same as Receive/Send hubs—hubs import; Inbox triages what already belongs to this vault.
  • ?m= at the root (https://se.nt2.me/?m=…) is the canonical wire format—see Sent to me.
  • Duplicate imports show a notice; the existing row is selected.
  • Large nearby shares may show awaiting chunks—wait for transfer to finish before accept.
  • Wrong share passphrase fails decrypt with a clear error—ask the sender to re-share.
